This release note describes updates to Cicero Mobile released with version 1.17.0, 2026-05-12.
The target audience is super users and system administrators.
New functionality
FBS-25574 Extension of material ordering
It is now possible to add a theme to an order line on material selection lists. When receiving materials, the theme's placement information is used.
When specifying placement on an order line, a warning is now shown if the placement only contains materials in float groups.
FBS-27556 Updates to search and display of reservations, material selection lists and materials
Various updates to search and display of data:
- On a material's detail view, you can now see the most recent loan date for the material
- In reservation search, you can now search by pickup number
- On an entry in a material selection list, you can now see the Faust number and the number of reservations on the record
- On a material selection list, you can filter out the records that do not have order lines on the list.
FBS-27566 Patron import - Extended automation of updating students who change school
New configuration options have been added to the configuration for patron import under Admin->Patron settings->Patron import to make cleanup of data easier when students have left the school.
It is now possible to specify whether you want to do the following in connection with the patron import:
- Delete patrons in Expired who have outstanding items with the library. Outstanding items are closed in the same way as with manual enforcement of deletion - see further details in the linked guides below
- Delete reservations for patrons who change branch (school). Reservations are deleted at the branch the patron is leaving.
By default, these are set to not be enabled, so patron import works as before until you change the configuration.
Note that it may be inappropriate to enable deletion of reservations if you have patrons who are imported to several schools simultaneously, as these patrons can often be moved between schools by the patron import, and therefore lose their reservations.
The settings apply to all types of import, i.e. from a CSV file or from an external service.
FBS-29679 Send patron data to patron upon request for access
It is now possible to send an extract of the data Cicero has registered about a patron to the patron.
It is possible to configure templates for this notification. There is a default template for sending with Digital post - the library itself must configure templates for any other desired protocols.
FBS-31525 Updated configuration for minimum period between loan and check-in
"Minimum period between loan and check-in" can now be specified in two separate configurations:
- Minimum period between loan and check-in, interlibrary loans
- Minimum period between loan and check-in, other loans
At rollout, the value set in the current configuration is preserved, in the configuration "Minimum period between loan and check-in, other loans".
FBS-33123 CMS API: Patron ID can now be sent along when resetting PIN code
In the CMS API, a v2 version of the API endpoint for resetting PIN code has been added - /resetPincode/v2. In the new version, in addition to an email address, you can include an optional patron identifier. If this is specified, the given email must be found on the patron that matches the patron identifier, otherwise no reset email is sent.
This version handles the case where multiple patrons may share the same email address.
FBS-32539 Upgraded generation of CMS API documentation
The code for generating documentation for the CMS API has been upgraded. There may be visual differences in the display of the documentation, but otherwise there are no changes.
FBS-32699 Refactor tables to use datasources that extend the same base datasource
Sub pages on the edm cataloging page are now sub tabs. Table headers have been standardized.
FBS-32510 Deleting placements
It is now possible to force the deletion of placement (department, section, location, sublocation) if these are only used on order lines, orders and materials. When deleted, the deleted placement level is removed from the placement applied to the order line/order/material.
The placement is kept intact in statistics, so historical data for the original placement can still be seen.
