Note to patron
- The field can be used for information that is to be passed on to the patron. The content can be made directly available to the patron via the CMS API or included in the patron status notification.
4. Click the "Create" button. The patron is now created and can start borrowing books right away.
NOTE! If the configuration "Financial responsible mandatory for underage patrons" is enabled in Admin > General settings, it is not possible to create underage patrons without linking a financial responsible.
Reuse patron data when creating a new patron
It is possible to create a new patron based on patron data from an existing patron. This can be used, for example, when several patrons with the same address (e.g. a family) want to be created at the same time. This avoids having to enter the same information multiple times.
The following patron data will be copied over to a new patron:
- Address (incl. secondary address)
- Phone number
- Email address
- Collection branch
A new patron can be created by reusing patron data in the following way:
- Search for the patron whose patron data you want to reuse and open the patron's details view.
- Click
at the bottom of the page.
- Select "Reuse patron data".
- A new patron page now opens, where the above patron data is filled in automatically.
- Fill in the remaining patron information and click "Create".
