The task system in Cicero makes it possible to auto-generate tasks at certain events. The auto-generated tasks are assigned to some configured work areas. A work area is also assigned one or more users who are responsible for ensuring that the tasks within a work area are handled.
It is also possible to assign manually created tasks to a work area (see Tasks).
Create and edit work areas
The work areas are maintained under Tasks > Work areas as follows:
- Press "Create work area" or select an existing work area in the list. This opens the work area's detail page.
- Fill in the name and any description.
- Add associated users
- Mark the tasks that should be auto-generated within the relevant work area, and optionally give the task a priority (High, Medium, Low).
NOTE! The fact that some users are associated with a work area does NOT mean that they are automatically set as "Responsible" on a task. However, in the task search they do have the option to easily search for tasks that belong to work areas where they are associated as users (see Tasks).
NOTE! A task must be associated with at least one work area for it to be generated automatically.
See Overview of auto-generated tasks for a walkthrough of automatic tasks.
