Before RFID is set up in Cicero Mobile, the scanner must be connected to the PC, and the scanner software must be installed.
Setting up the RFID scanner in Cicero Mobile is then done as follows:
- Click your username in the top right-hand corner
- Select scanner, and enter the hostname and port
- Click "Test connection"
- A message is shown at the bottom of the screen telling you whether there is a connection to the RFID scanner
- Choose whether the RFID scanner should be enabled by default
- Enabled: The RFID scanner is enabled when you are on a page where the RFID scanner can be used. The RFID scanner can be disabled manually, but will be enabled again the next time you are on a page where the RFID scanner can be used.
- Disabled: The RFID scanner must be activated manually when it is to be used.
- Click "Save"
Note: The setup applies only to the current user on the current device.
If no scanner is selected or the connection test fails, scanning with an RFID scanner will not be available in Cicero Mobile.

- mk Solutions RFID scanner via the software ”mkStaffStation”, version 1.57
- Lyngsoe Systems RFID scanner via the software "GoodStuff 2", version 6.1.8495
- Deichman, latest version (17-08-2023)
- Bibliotheca via the software "Bibliotheca staffConnect link", version 1.31.005.0
Other software or scanners may also work, but we must refer you to the supplier for more information.
