There are four reservation types in Cicero Mobile. The reservation type is selected when a reservation is created (see Create reservation). Only one reservation type can be used at a time.
Single reservation
The patron wants a specific material/record.
Parallel reservation
Several materials/records are selected and reserved, but the patron only receives the first available material/record. The other parallel reservations are deleted automatically when the first parallel-reserved material is fulfilled.
Series reservation
The patron wants to reserve selected materials/records serially and thereby receive them in a specific order. The order is determined in the reservation basket by dragging a record/material up/down in the table using the icon (drag n' drop). On a touchscreen, hold your finger on the icon briefly before the row can be moved.
Only one active reservation is created for the first material in the series, and the other passive reservations will then be activated one by one. The period before the next reservation becomes active can be configured in the setting ”Activation pause for series reservation in days”. If the value here is set to zero, the next reservation in a series reservation is activated on the same day the patron collects the material. Please note that passive reservations can be seen under the patron's status, but not on the bibliographic record.
Control reservation
A control reservation is always placed at the top of the reservation queue and can be used, for example, in connection with material maintenance.
