You can send both automatic and manual reminders to material suppliers if they have not delivered ordered materials by the expected time. This can be done for both normal orders and periodicals subscriptions.
Reminder for a normal order
Sending a reminder manually
- Go to Acquisition > Orders and search for the order
- Open the detail page for a given order
- Click "Send reminder" at the bottom of the page.
- Confirm sending the reminder. A reminder is now sent to the supplier.
If you are unable to click "Send reminder", it may be because the expected delivery date for the order has not yet passed. The expected delivery date can be seen at the top of the order's detail page.
Setting up automatic sending of order
Under Admin > Advanced settings > Acquisition > "Notification for missing order delivery: Setup" you can specify whether Cicero should automatically send reminders, and how many days after the expected delivery date the reminder should be sent.

Under Admin > Advanced settings > Acquisition > "Notification for missing periodicals delivery: On/off" you can specify whether Cicero should automatically send reminders to periodicals suppliers.
How long after the expected delivery date the reminder should be sent is configured on the base record for a bibliographic record. Read more under Create base record for periodicals (PIF record).
