When a patron's loan has exceeded the due date, Cicero can be configured to send up to 3 overdue notice notifications a configurable number of days after the due date. If desired, it is also possible to have an overdue notice fee created in connection with sending these overdue notices.
Setting up overdue notices
The content of the overdue notice notifications, as well as how many days after the due date each overdue notice should be sent, is configured under Admin > Notifications > 1st/2nd/3rd Overdue notice.
You can read more about setting up overdue notice notifications under Setting up notifications.
Fee on overdue notices
If you want an overdue notice fee to be created when sending overdue notices, this must be configured under Admin > General settings > Balance > Fee (overdue notice).
The following can be set here:
- Fee amount: Defines what the fee amount should be for each overdue notice.
- Note to patron: Text that is automatically inserted into the "Note to patron" field on the created overdue notice fees.
Note! Overdue notice fees cannot be created manually but are exclusively generated automatically based on the configuration.
