Materials or patron cards with barcodes can be scanned using a camera, which can be useful if you are using Cicero Mobile on a tablet or smartphone. This can be used, for example, to search for materials or when checking out and checking in materials.
Camera scanning is enabled by following the steps below:
1. Tap your username in the top right corner
2. Turn on camera scanning
3. Camera scanning can now be accessed in all relevant fields
Switch between front and rear camera on tablet/smartphone
If you are using Cicero Mobile on a tablet or smartphone, it may be necessary to switch between the front camera and the rear camera. To switch between the cameras, simply tap "Switch camera" once you have accessed camera scanning.
