Cicero remembers your most recent patron and CQL searches, so you can quickly retrieve information again.
Patron history
When your workflow involves a patron, the patron is saved in a local search history of patrons. The patron is saved in the history in the following cases:
- The patron is selected in the patron field
- The patron's detail page is opened
- Check-in of a loan that has a patron attached
The 5 most recent patrons will appear in the history. The patrons are shown by clicking the "Show search history" button in the patron field or by using the keyboard shortcut "ALT+J" (the keyboard shortcuts may be configured differently). The search history is reset when you log off Cicero.
From the search history you can do the following:
- Click a row: This inserts the previous search into the patron field. If you are on a search page, a search is performed.
- Click "Delete search"
: This removes the patron from the search history.
Search history
When you search for a bibliographic record or a material using CQL search, the 20 most recent searches are saved in a local search history. These searches are shown by clicking the "Show search history" button in the CQL field or by using the keyboard shortcut "ALT+J" (the keyboard shortcuts may be configured differently). The search history is reset when you log off Cicero.
From the search history you can do the following:
- Click a row: This inserts the previous search into the CQL field and performs a search.
- Click the "Move to the search field" button
: This moves the previous search up into the CQL field, but a search is not performed. Use this if you want to change some search parameters before the search is performed.
- Click "Delete search"
