It is possible to edit several materials at the same time.
- Search for materials under material search.
- Tick the checkboxes next to the desired materials. By clicking the top checkbox, all the visible materials are selected.
- Click "Edit" in the bottom right corner.
The editing options below are then displayed. When the changes are saved, all the selected materials are updated with the new values. For floating group and Theme, a given value can be deleted by selecting ”Reset value” in the relevant field. Fields in which no new value is specified are not changed on the materials.
It is possible to print new material labels with any new values by ticking "Print material labels when saving". This can be used, for example, if the selected materials are to have a new placement and consequently need new labels. It is also possible to print labels without editing any of the materials' information. This is done by ticking "Print material labels when saving" and then clicking "Save".
Should the update fail for one or more materials, it is possible to download a CSV file with the material numbers of the materials in question. The CSV file can later be uploaded to the material search to search for the materials in question (see Search material).
Note! If "Save changes for all search results" is enabled, it is not possible to download a CSV file with the material numbers of materials for which the update has failed.
Save changes for all search results
If the changes are to be saved for all materials that match the search criteria, you can search for all the materials that need to be changed, select one of the materials and click edit. You can then tick "Save changes for all search results" before saving the changes. This way, all materials will be updated at once, and you will avoid having to scroll all the way to the bottom of your search result before making changes. If this is the case, the update will happen in the background, so you can continue working in Cicero in the meantime. It may therefore take some time before the changes are visible in Cicero.
It is not possible to print material labels or change material status when the changes are saved for all search results.
Note! You are not informed if the update fails for some of the materials.
