Release Note for Cicero LMS 1.53.2

This release note describes updates to Cicero LMS released with version 1.53.2, 2026-06-16.

The target group is super users and system administrators.

New functionality

FBS-33827 Transfer of shelf mark to IMS

For libraries with integration to Cicero Catalogue and material logistics system (e.g. IMS):
When sending notifications with bibliographic record data, the configuration for Shelving system is now used to determine which data is transferred. You can choose between Classification and Shelf mark.

For users of DBC, it is always Classification that is sent to IMS, regardless of the new configuration. There are thus no changes for DBC libraries.

Cicero has now been adapted so that the field Ext.Answer on the ItemRenewed message is no longer sent by Alma, and the message therefore no longer fails.
FBS-30395 Cherwell 23811	Return material status in CMS API	Two new endpoints have been added to the CMS API for holdings lookup: - GET holdings/v6 - GET holdingsLogistics/v3 The two new endpoints include material status for the returned holdings. FBS-30631 Cherwell 24016	Error in search with search suggestions for special characters	For users of Cicero Catalogue: Search suggestions have been updated so that it is possible to search for titles with special characters using search suggestions. Example: In the CQL field "Right" is typed, and the search suggestions contain "Right On!. 3, Workbook /". When this is selected, the CQL field shows the string "Right On 3 Workbook", and the search returns the record with the title "Right On!. 3, Workbook /"
FBS-32057 Cherwell 363371	Enforced reservations missing from picking list	Enforced reservations on a specific material are now shown correctly on the picking list, even if the patron group does not have reservation rights for the material group in question.
FBS-32644 Cherwell 369529	Search for records with multiple languages	For users of Cicero Catalogue: Updated indexing of field 041, so that search for titles with several different languages specified in field 041 now works correctly.
FBS-33079 Cherwell 24165	MARC display shows field indicators in wrong order	For users of DBC and Cicero Catalogue: Display of records in Marc format has been fixed, so that field indicator 1 and 2 are now shown in the correct order.
FBS-33401	Auto discarding rules do not use Section	Fixed an error where discarding rules did not take the placement field Section into account when marking materials for discarding. Auto discarding will now correctly handle rules configured with a specific section.
FBS-33641 Cherwell 24271	Duplicated materials when importing CSV file	Fixed an error in material search where importing a CSV file with duplicated material numbers could cause an error when trying to update the materials. Duplicated material numbers in the CSV file will now only appear once in the search result list.
