Under Admin > Patron settings > Patron groups you can create rules for automatic assignment of patron groups to patrons. This means that you can define a set of criteria that automatically assign patron groups to the patron if the patron matches the configured criteria. If the patron is part of the patron group but no longer matches the configured criteria, the patron will no longer be associated with that patron group. It is not possible to have more than one automatic assignment per patron group.
Create/edit auto-assignment
1. Click ”Create auto-assignment” at the top of the "Auto-assign patron groups" table, or click an existing auto-assignment in the table. This opens a detail page for configuring the auto-assignment.
2. Select a patron group and add a description
3. Select criteria for the rule as described below. If a criterion is not filled in, it is not used during assignment.
- Patron type: A rule can have exactly one patron type. If the rule should apply to several patron types, you must create one for each patron type.
- Age: Can be specified as ranges (e.g. 10-14, both inclusive) or as under/over, by omitting one of the values. The age criterion filters on the patron's date of birth, i.e. if the patron does not have a date of birth, the patron will not match any age criteria. Age can only be specified for the patron type "Person".
- Residence:
- Municipality: First select whether the patron must be inside or outside the municipality. In the field next to it, select one or more municipalities.
- Country: First select whether the patron must be inside or outside the country. In the field next to it, select one or more countries.
- Patron blocking: First select whether patrons must be ”Blocked” or ”Not blocked”. If ”Blocked” is selected, it is possible to specify specific blocking reasons. If no specific blocking reason is selected, all blocked patrons are included.
4. Finish by clicking ”Save”.
Calculating patron group
You can calculate the association with a specific patron group manually by clicking ”Recalculate patron group”. Otherwise, patrons' association with the patron groups is calculated automatically every night based on the configured rules, as well as when a patron is created or changed.
